Travel communication checklist

So you’ve gone through your policy, started on your risk plan and got a few ideas after chatting to your TMC. What do you need to tell your travellers? 

PRE-TRIP

  • Encourage your travellers to plan ahead and check travel regulations, especially with the rules constantly changing.
  • Give your travellers up-to-date information. Ensure your travellers have the latest information on their destination, including border regulations, airline and hotel updates. Visit our Travel Hub for all this information in one place.
  • Give your travellers the latest technology. Encourage them to download the Melon app for updates on the go.

 

DURING TRIP

  • Equip travellers for an emergency. Travellers need to know how they can get support when they’re on the road. Make sure employees know how to contact their emergency assistance line and what they should do if they incur problems abroad such as illness, lost passport or cancellations. 
  • Help your travellers stay healthy – mentally and physically. Our Travel Fit guide is free to download and packed with practical advice and tips for travellers.
  • Support anxious travellers. Top tip from Hannah Jarvis, Account Manager at Corporate Traveller: “If you alert the staff on an aircraft to your anxiety they’re trained to provide assistance, can check in on you periodically and offer reassurance where required.”

 

POST-TRIP

  • Follow quarantining rules. It’s essential and governments are checking. Our Travel Hub has the latest information for countries around the world.
  • Ask for your travellers’ feedback. Find out how they’re feeling, what’s working and what isn’t. Use that information to reassess your travel services to ensure they’re meeting your travellers’ needs.
