London, UK, 10 September, 2026 – Corporate Traveller, the SME-focused corporate brand of Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG), today launched a dedicated Meetings & Events offering in the UK. The launch comes as new Corporate Traveller research finds around two in five UK businesses (40%) expect their meetings and events spend to grow over the next year, with over a third (38%) already putting more than half their total travel budget towards meetings and events.

The research also underscores how central events have become to UK business travel: 70% of UK businesses cite conferences and events as a main reason their people travel, making it the single biggest driver of UK corporate travel. 

This scale of demand is exposing a gap in how the UK’s small and medium-sized businesses are resourced to manage it, with event planning increasingly falling to people who never signed up for it. Executive assistants, office managers, and HR and marketing teams are being asked to source venues, coordinate suppliers and manage on-the-day logistics – often without the time, budget leverage or specialist expertise to do it well. 

Corporate Traveller Meetings & Events is designed to close that gap. The offering builds on Corporate Traveller’s existing venue sourcing and group travel coordination, adding dedicated event planning, creative production and onsite delivery, with a specialist events team managing the process end-to-end – taking the stress of planning meetings, conferences and corporate events off growing businesses. 

Corporate Traveller Meeting & Events offers two core services:

•  Managed Meetings – for gatherings of 10-200 attendees, covering venue sourcing, rooming lists, audio-visual coordination and food and beverage planning 
• Event Management – a full end-to-end service for larger events of 75+ delegates, spanning everything from pre-event planning and risk mitigation through to onsite delivery, group travel coordination and post-event reporting 

The new offering is delivered by an expert Meetings & Events team – specialists in event planning and delivery, not a separate agency – giving existing and new customers access to the consultant-led service Corporate Traveller is known for. It’s also underpinned by FCTG’s global buying power, giving customers access to negotiated rates and room blocks that go beyond standard marketplace pricing. 

The team behind the offering already has a strong track record delivering events at scale. Over recent years it has planned and delivered everything from executive leadership conferences and global summits to incentive trips, product launches, staff celebrations and client events, for groups ranging from small internal gatherings through to celebrations of 500+ delegates across the UK and internationally.
