Flight Centre UK Charity of the Year
Every year, our employees choose a charity of the year. After raising £100,000 for MIND in 2018-19, our employees chose to support Age UK for 2019-2020, the leading charity doing incredible work with older people. Our fundraising efforts will include bake sales, marathons and volunteering in their charity shop. Plus, every pound raised by us is matched by our parent company Flight Centre Travel Group.
At Christmas 2019, instead of sending clients a festive gift we donated that money to Age UK on behalf of them. Watch the video with Age UK to find out how this donation helped older people like Roy facing loneliness at Christmas.
Flight Centre Foundation
At the heart of Corporate Traveller’s corporate and social responsibility strategy lies our charity, the Flight Centre Foundation, which sponsors a primary school in Soweto, South Africa. Over our five-year partnership, we’re determined to transform the school and the lives of its pupils. Through workplace giving and fundraising activities, Corporate Traveller’s employees can support the school, as well as our charity of the year, with all staff fundraising efforts and donations matched pound-for-pound by Flight Centre Travel Group.
Responsible, greener travel
There’s no excuses now. We’re all thinking more about our people and our planet. Together we can travel in a way that respects human rights, the environment and social equality while being conscious of eco-friendly practices and working with local communities.
Environment
Initiatives we’ve implemented include:
- Carbon offsetting for staff travel through a partnership with South Pole.
- Using renewable energy sources in our offices.
- Zero waste to landfill through recycling bins and waste converted to generate electricity.
Modern slavery and human trafficking
We remain committed to responsible and sustainable travel and tourism, including the identification and prevention of all forms of modern slavery in our business and supply chains. Our people have a shared commitment to maintain the highest standards of personal and professional ethics, to comply with all relevant laws and regulations and to personify and represent Flight Centre's values in everything we do. For more information see our policy.

Supporting our forces
Corporate Traveller UK is proud to be a signatory to The Armed Forces Covenant, showing our promise to ensure those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.
